July 11th. These craters are dead volcanoes. We climbed up on the biggest, Grabrok. Situated in a lava field which it created 3,000 years ago, along with it's little brother, Grabrokafell. There used to be a third cone, but they hauled it away for gravel...
Jeff and Donna re-enacted a scene from 2001 deep inside the Grabrok crater. We were inspired to create some bad volcano jokes:
Joke #1. What did one volcano say to the other? "Is that the best you can spew?"
Joke #2. Volcano walks into a bar, says, "I don't want a drink, I'm just here to use the LAVA-tory!"
Joke #3 (pictured). Volcano in psychiatrist's office: "Every time I see a piece of ash, I get an eruption."
The last picture is a picture of people taking a picture of a picture of what is right in front of them.
