July 10th. "God's Waterfall," so named because a famous Icelander threw his icon of Odin into the falls when he converted to Christianity. That episode was also depicted in a stained-glass window in Akureyri. Odin has one eye, and two ravens.
The water falls at three different levels, so it is very picturesque. It's also not far from the main road, so there are lots of school trips and tour buses.
